Project "Parimal Basudha"

In a positive step towards Swachh Bharat, AGCL has set up four toilet blocks in the Out Patient Department, Cardiology Indoors, Paediatric Indoors, Gynaecology indoors of Assam Medical College & Hospital Dibrugarh. Each toilet block apart from having six toilets and six bathrooms also consists of an open area for washing of dishes and laundry. With a completion cost exceeding fifty lakhs this initiative christened as Parimal Basudha came into existence. Earlier AGCL has also set up a shed and an waste to organic converter machine (Bioneer 100) in the Medical Campus for turning Bio waste into natural manure. The Parimal Basudha Toilet Blocks were inaugurated by Hon. Deputy Commissioner of Dibrugarh, Smti. Laya Madduri on 17th October, 2017. The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Principal of AMCH, Dibrugarh Dr. Hiranya Kr. Goswami. Also sharing the dias were District Development Commissioner Sri Jadav Saikia, Head of cardiology department of AMCH Dr. Hem Chandra Kalita & Managing Director of Assam Gas Company Limited Sri. Aditya Kumar Sharma. The inaugural speech was presented by Deputy General Manager Sri. Kunal Majumder. Vote of thanks was presented by Secy, CSR Committee Mrs. Mayurima Goswami Baruah. The toilets and the Bathrooms would be free to use for all. It is expected that the Toilet blocks would provide significant relief regarding basic needs to the patients as well as visitors of AMCH.

Project Pratyasha

(A CSR PROJECT OF AGCL ON SKILL DEVELOPMENT TRAINING & PLACEMENT IMPLEMENTED BY DON BOSCO INSTITUTE, KHARGHULI,GUWAHATI) One of the most successful projects under CSR initiative of AGCL is Project Pratyasha where the aim is to ensure sustainable livelihood to the underprivileged youths of AGCL’s operational area . 101 candidates have been trained so far out of which 74 have been given placement .The details:

Cancer Screening and Awareness Camp

Free Cancer Screening and Awareness camp was organized by Assam Gas Company Ltd and Marwari Yuva Manch, Tinsukia jointly on 25th & 26th March,2017 in Duliajan Uchcha Vidyalaya & Kathalguri H S School respectively. The day long programmes were very much successful with large number of public pouring in for the free screening tests. Doctors from Assam Medical College and Oil Hospital, Duliajan offered their services in both the camps.
